please note : These are general hints and tips, for specifics on prayer, healing, prophecy etc' please seek advice and guidance from your pastor or other trusted Christian with an anointing in these areas. Failing that check out someone like Bill Johnson at Bethel Church you will get some wise teaching in this area.
Prayer is not a religious ceremony to a distant God. It is a conversation between a father and his child. It can be an intimate moment with words spoken softly in private, or a public declaration shouted from the roof tops.
You can light candles, play some music, or even pray whilst vacuuming the carpet. You can draw, paint or sculpt. You can be on your knees praying quietly or stood on a stool with your hands raised high.
However you talk with God, it is important that you do talk. Any relationship needs regular communication in order to move forward. Do not wait until the time is right or you are in the mood. Happy, sad, unsatisfied or content always pray.
And remember you can never ever ever pray too much. Short or long every prayer is heard and received by our loving Father in heaven.
One final point prayer is not a game of scrabble. Your prayers have no less weight if they are not poetic or don't include long words. Do not be fooled into thinking God cares more for prayers spoken by those with a degree in languages. Quite simply Heaven rejoices over a prayer spoken in truth from the heart. For our Father in heaven it is all about content not delivery !
